This was an Old Hollywood' home and family. Grandfather and grandmother ran in some of the original film circles of the 1920's and 30's. As one of the original Mack Sennett Bathing Beauties and later an early female director and stunt woman Betty Harner met and later married John Sinclair (St. Clair) who acted in most of W.C. Fields films including playing the poor victim in Field's seminal film "The Dentist".

Countless stars of television and movies, as well as global cultural guests came to parties and had drinks and laughs at the bar.  Artists, musicians, cartoonists, actors, religious leaders, and just regular folks enjoyed this special house on the canyon.

The dining room table was once owned by Stan Laurel before he downsized to his Santa Monica house.

Dad raced cars and ran automobile agencies. He grew up in Hollywood (John Marshall High School) and after military service went on to play football at the University of Nebraska.

Mom was a professor of nursing who helped develop and refine the profession of "Nurse Practitioner."  In the 1960's she directed Peace Corps Nurse Training throughout Latin America which fed her love of travel. She was the globe trotter who brought home her cultural treasures.

They raised 4 boys and two daughters (all with those Hollywood good looks). Two served in the military. One died after serving in both Iraq Wars.

The custom sofa in the living room was just recovered for $4500 with all new down cushions before she realized she was going to need to make a change. It originally cost $7500 and it is being offered for $995.  The realtor says we can sell the drapes in the family and living room. The fabric is gorgeous, and they are for sale for 10% of their original cost!
